Moore; Bill Rugeley; Robert Gaertner; <br />Apoltnar Mendoza, Domingo Reyes, Jesse Gomez; <br />Janet Keiler, Dr. Talph Harrel, George Gilbert <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 12, 1973, were <br />approved on motion of Mr. DeLa Rosa and second of Mr. Cunningham. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance <br />amending Section 30-7 of the Code of Ordinances by establishing <br />a new deposit fee for all residential water connections. The <br />City Manager reported that the ordinance represented the <br />recommendation of his office and the Director of Finance. There <br />were no objections voiced. The Mayor closed the Public Hearing <br />and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE I, SECTION <br />30-7, OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />ESTABLISHES A NEW DEPOSIT FEE FOR ALL NEW RESIDENTIAL <br />WATER CONNECTIONS AND A DEPOSIT FEE FOR ALL NEW COMMERCIAL <br />ESTABLISHMENTS. <br /> <br />Mr. Cunningham moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. King and passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II, ENTITLED "DANCE <br />AND DANCE HALLS", CHAPTER 22, ENTITLED "PUBLIC <br />AMUSEMENTS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, THE SAME BEING SECTIONS 22~16 TO <br />22-31 INCLUSIVE OF SAID CODE; AND ADDING A NEW ARTICLE <br />II, ENTITLED "DANCES AND DANCE HALLS", CHAPTER 22 OF <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF DANCE PERMITS, <br />ESTABLISHING CRITERIA FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS, <br />AND SETTING FEES FOR SUCH ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS. <br /> <br />Mr. King moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion. Councilmen discussed the <br />ordinance. Councilman Cunningham moved to amend the ordinance <br />by the addition of dances sanctioned by public or private <br />schools to Section 22-17, by the deletion of Sections 22-27 and <br />22-30, and by the modification of Section 22-31 to remain <br />applicapible to 22~30. Councilman DeLa Rosa seconded the motion. <br />On roll call, the motion to amend the ordinance passed with <br /> <br />the following vote: <br />
