Councilmen
explained that they were aware of the traffic hazards on the
street since recent devlopments in the area had greatly in-
creased the traffic flow. They said that theCity had been try-
ing for many years to get the necessary right-of-way to widen
and pave Thorp Lane. The Mayor said the City Manager had al-
ready ordered stop signs, and would have the brush cleared
away along the proposed right-of-way, to insure more traffic
safety. Mr. Yarbrough thanked Mr. Aldridge for coming to the
meeting.

I

Mrs. Ruth Thomas came before the Council to ask questions
about the Code Enforcement Program. Councilmen explained
how the program works, and what benefits the City would
realize from the Federally-funded project.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.

Mayor

~~~/1tV L~ I?~_,
G illermo De a Rosa
ouncilman
l
~tnv
Frances D.
