<br />/'.1 <br /> <br />,q <br />I ' <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half (~) mile in width, being contiguous <br />and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for <br />Members of the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the Municipal <br />limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached. marked <br />"EXHIBIT AN, and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos <br />to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: <br /> <br />NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, be-a~d the-same <br />is hereby received as part of the City of San Marcos, and the <br />corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended <br />so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the <br />territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of <br />San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said <br />City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />This parcel is to be zoned "R-l", single family residential. <br /> <br />PASSED on first reading <br /> <br />September 14, 1970. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PASSED on second reading <br /> <br />September 78, 1970. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED <br /> <br />ANO MOPTEn OdObO'" 12, 19/ ' , <br /> <br /> <br />qL~'2J/#tI <br /> <br />~.
