REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OCTOBER 22,1970 Present: Mayor Hollis W. Smith Councilmen: Frank Contreras, jr. Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Luc:iano H. Hawener, Bill Forester ,Jerry l. Moore, Willard Thorp, M~s. Keith Hoffman, ~rs. Vernon McDonald, Ross Compton, Xen Sloan, Jack Reber, Tom Bond, Neal Arnold, Lanny Cravy The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Yarbrough moved approval of the October 12, 1970 Minutes, as presented. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: Craddock, King, Smith, Yarbrough ABSTAIN: Contreras, Flores The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor introduced for second reading an ordinance amending the Subdivisions Ordinance. Mr. King moved approval of t~e Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Contreras, Flores, King, Yarbrough NAY: Craddock, Smith The Mayor declared the Ordinance passed on second reading. I The Mayor introduced for consideration a request fop rezoning of property on Lamar Street owned by Mrs. Maggie Jones. The Mayor read aloud a letter from the Planning U Zoning Commission, recommending for the sec6nd time that the request be denied, see attached. Mr. King moved that the Council deny the request for a change of zoning from "R-l" to "D" on Lamar Street property owned by Mrs. Maggie Jones. Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, King, Smith, Yarbrough NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried.
