<br />We, the undersigned, do bereby petition and request the City of San
<br />Marcos, Texas, to abandon for and close to all public use the following
<br />described portions of Mathews Street in said city, such portions of said
<br />street being located approximately between Lots Nos, 117 and 118 of the
<br />1_ Third Division of the Park Addition within said city:
<br />
<br />o BEGINNING at an iron pipe in the South corner of Lot #117 of
<br />the Third Division of Park Addition, said Lot being a portion
<br />of the G. B. Ezell Estate, T, J. Chambers Survey, San Marcos,
<br />Hays County, Texas. Said POINT OF BEGINNING being tbe West
<br />corner of herein described tract;
<br />
<br />THENCE, N, 43039' E. a distance of 170.00' to an iron rod for
<br />tbe East corner of Lot #117 and the North corner of herein
<br />described tract;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S. 46021' E, a distance of 20.00' to a point for the
<br />East corner of the herein described tract, located on the
<br />centerline of the Mathews Street right-of-way;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S. 43039' W, a distance of 170,00' to a point for the
<br />South corner of the herein described tract located on the
<br />centerline of the Mathews Street right-of-way;

<br />THENCE, N. 46012' W, a distance of 20' to an iron pipe for the
<br />West corner of the herein described tract said West corner also
<br />being the POINT OF BEGINNING.

<br />BEGINNING at an iron stake set in a rock retaining wall in the
<br />West corner of Lot #118 of the Third Division of Park Addition,
<br />said Lot being a portion of the G. B. Ezell Estate, T. J,
<br />Chambers Survey, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, Said POINT OF
<br />BEGINNING being the South corner of the herein described tract.

<br />THENCE, N. 46021' W. a distance of 20,00' to a point for the
<br />West corner of the herein described tract that is located on
<br />the Mathews Street right-of-way centerline;
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 43039' E, a distance of 216,00' to a point for the
<br />West corner of the herein described tract that is located on
<br />the Mathews Street right-of-way centerline;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S, 46021' E. a distance of 20.00' to a set iron stake .
<br />for the East corner of the: herein described tract and the North
<br />corner of Lot #118;
<br />
<br />.THENCE, S;.43039'W. a qistanc,e of 216.00,' to an iron stake for
<br />the South corner of the herein described tract, said point also
<br />being the POINT OF BEGINNING.

<br />This petition is conditioned upon~nd in consideration of the securing
<br />by said city of the necessary right-of€way for the widening of Lyndon B,
<br />Johnson Drive, and the further paving, curbing lOd guttering of the portion
<br />of such street so widened, all as per plans of which are on file in the
<br />City Engineer's Office in the City Hall in said city.
