<br />" <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,~I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />'i~1 ,A <br /> <br />San Marcos, Texas <br />December 22, 1970 <br /> <br />"EXHIBIT A" <br /> <br />The following is a fieldnote description of an annexation by the <br />City of San Marcos, said annexation being approximately 47 acres <br />in area, and being located in Juan Martin Veramendi Survey No, 1, <br />Hays County, Texas: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at an iron stake set for the north corner of the 47 <br />acre tract herein described, said corner being in the southeast <br />line of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad right-of-way, <br />in the southwest right-of-way of a County Road named Fair Grounds <br />Road, and situated in the north corner of a 30 acre tract of land <br />conveyed by the San Marcos Industrial Foundation to the Wide-Lite <br />Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 228, page 316 of the deed <br />records of Hays County, Texas; <br /> <br />THENCE, along the common property line of the Missouri, Kansas <br />and Texas Railroad and the said 30 acre tract S 470 51' W a <br />distance of 1,662.2 feet to a point for the west corner, said <br />west corner being the north corner of a 40.95 tract described by <br />fieldnotes on June 11, 1969 for annexation proceedings~ <br /> <br />THENCE, from the west corner S 450 02' E along the southe~st <br />property line a distance of 1,286.0 feet to a point for the south <br />corner of said 30 acre tract and of the herein described 47 acre <br />tract, said point being in the Interstate Highway 35 northwest <br />right-of-way line; <br /> <br />THENCE, from the south corner, N 440 50' E along the northwest <br />right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 35 a distance of 1,642.06 <br />feet to a point for the east corner, said east corner being the <br />common corner of the Interstate Highway 35 northwest right-of~way <br />and the Fair Grounds Road southwest right-of-way; <br /> <br />THENCE, from the east corner, N 440 49' W along the southwest <br />right-of-way of Fair Grounds Road a distance of 1,195 feet to an <br />iron stake set for the north corner, said north corner being the <br />PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />The foregoing fieldnotes enclose approximately 47 acres of land <br />enclose separate tracts of land owned by the San Marcos Industrial <br />Foundation, Central Freight Lines, Incorporated, Robert B. Bowden, <br />and the Texas Highway Department. The tracts of land enclosed in <br />these fieldnotes are described in Book 190, page 325, Boo~ 209, <br />page 418, Book 167, page 352, and Book 197, page 152, respectively <br />of the Hays County Deed Records, <br /> <br />The foregoing fieldnotes were obtained from the above listed <br />Hays County Deed Records. <br />
