I ,~I I 'i~1 ,A San Marcos, Texas December 22, 1970 "EXHIBIT A" The following is a fieldnote description of an annexation by the City of San Marcos, said annexation being approximately 47 acres in area, and being located in Juan Martin Veramendi Survey No, 1, Hays County, Texas: BEGINNING at an iron stake set for the north corner of the 47 acre tract herein described, said corner being in the southeast line of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad right-of-way, in the southwest right-of-way of a County Road named Fair Grounds Road, and situated in the north corner of a 30 acre tract of land conveyed by the San Marcos Industrial Foundation to the Wide-Lite Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 228, page 316 of the deed records of Hays County, Texas; THENCE, along the common property line of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad and the said 30 acre tract S 470 51' W a distance of 1,662.2 feet to a point for the west corner, said west corner being the north corner of a 40.95 tract described by fieldnotes on June 11, 1969 for annexation proceedings~ THENCE, from the west corner S 450 02' E along the southe~st property line a distance of 1,286.0 feet to a point for the south corner of said 30 acre tract and of the herein described 47 acre tract, said point being in the Interstate Highway 35 northwest right-of-way line; THENCE, from the south corner, N 440 50' E along the northwest right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 35 a distance of 1,642.06 feet to a point for the east corner, said east corner being the common corner of the Interstate Highway 35 northwest right-of~way and the Fair Grounds Road southwest right-of-way; THENCE, from the east corner, N 440 49' W along the southwest right-of-way of Fair Grounds Road a distance of 1,195 feet to an iron stake set for the north corner, said north corner being the PLACE OF BEGINNING. The foregoing fieldnotes enclose approximately 47 acres of land enclose separate tracts of land owned by the San Marcos Industrial Foundation, Central Freight Lines, Incorporated, Robert B. Bowden, and the Texas Highway Department. The tracts of land enclosed in these fieldnotes are described in Book 190, page 325, Boo~ 209, page 418, Book 167, page 352, and Book 197, page 152, respectively of the Hays County Deed Records, The foregoing fieldnotes were obtained from the above listed Hays County Deed Records.
