MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL EMERGENCY <br />MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> APRIL 2, 1981 <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tempore <br />Council Members <br /> <br />City Manager <br /> <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />John J. Stokes <br /> <br />Karl W. Brown <br />Robert L. Cavazos <br />Berry R. James <br />Ed Tarbutton <br /> <br />A.C. Gonzalez <br /> <br />Barbara Jean Edwards <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br /> Council Member <br /> <br />Jeff Watkins, Jerri Martin <br /> <br />Tess Norris <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarbutton moved that the council recess into executive <br />session for the purpose of discussing personnel. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Council reconvened into regular session at 5:45 p.m. <br />on motion of Mr. Brown and second of Mr. James. The vote was <br />unanimous. <br /> <br /> Mr. James moved to rescind the appointment of Patsy Greiner <br />as City Secretary from April 1 to April 13, 1981 and to appoint <br />Mae Cephas as City Secretary to fill that position until April <br />13, 1981 at the rate of pay of $1075.00 per month. Mr. Tarbutton <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarbutton moved for adjournment at 5:50 p.m. <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos <br /> <br />Karl W.
