<br />( <br /> <br />ORDER AMENDING (A) AN ORDER ESTABLISHING <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEDURE FOR CITY OFFICERS ELECTION; AND <br />(B) AN ORDER FOR CITY OFFICERS ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of San Marcos, Texas, on <br /> <br />February 9, 1970, passed an Order Establishing Procedure <br /> <br />for City Officers' Election, and an Order Tor City Officers' <br /> <br />Election, all in connection with the election of Councilmen <br /> <br />for Place 6 and Place 7; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 10, 1970, the Incumbent of Place 1, <br /> <br />having served two years of a three-year term, tendered his <br /> <br />resignation, effective February 28, 1970; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of San Marcos provides that <br /> <br />a vacancy occuring on the City Council within 120 days of a <br /> <br />regular City Officers' Election, shall be filled at said <br /> <br />election: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas that both Orders passed February 9, <br /> <br />1970, be amended to show that a Councilman for the one-year <br /> <br />unexpired term of Place 1 shall be elected at the regular <br /> <br />election to be held April 7, 1970. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1970. <br /> <br />~ ~CL~ <br /> <br />Ellis Serur, Mayor <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ <br /> <br />([;jj}(}PM . !J /I ~ <br /> <br />Dorothy O.
