<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />did, on August 21, 1968, enter into a three-party <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />contract with the Texas State Department of Health <br /> <br />and Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., Consulting <br /> <br />Engineers, to prepare a Comprehensive Plan for our <br /> <br />City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, interim reports have been presented at public <br /> <br />meetings by the planning consultant to give City officials <br /> <br />and other interested citizens an opportunity to share in <br /> <br />the development of a plan intended as a long-range guide <br /> <br />for improvement and expansion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the completed Comprehensive Plan was presented <br /> <br />'I <br /> <br />on February 25, 1970 for the Council's approva+: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br /> <br />approve the Comprehensive Plan in principle, with the <br /> <br />knowledge that it will be up-dated and modified as needed, <br /> <br />to insure the orderly development of the City. <br />/ <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of March, 1970. <br /> <br />~< {;4L-~ <br /> <br />Ellis S~/A <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~d~/ &GalrilL <br />Dorothy 0 Worrell <br />City See tary <br />
