Mr. Contreras seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />In other Planning & Zoning matters, Dr. Craddock moved that <br />the zoning on a tract described as "Part of Lot 7, Block 1, <br />AS. Rogers Subdivision #1" be changed from "M" (mixed) to <br />"C" (commercial). Mr. Contreras seconded the motion and on <br />roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Contreras, Craddock, Flores, King, Smith, Yarbrough <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carr~ed. <br /> <br />Councilman Yarbrough asked Mr. Pool if attendance was good <br />at the Commission meetings. Mr. Pool said it was, but he <br />would like to recommend that the Commission be enlarged <br />from seven to nine members. The Mayor commended Mr. Pool <br />and the Commission for the excellent job they are doing. <br /> <br />A request for a trailer permit, which received favorable <br />action by the Planning & Zoning Commission, was discussed. <br />Mr. Flores moved that J.C. Varner be granted a trailer <br />permi~for his property on Uhland Road. Flores seconded the motion and on roll call <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, King, Smith,Yarbrough <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilma n Yarbrough proposed that the Cou nci L invite' the <br />County Judge and Commissioners to meet with them to discuss <br />common problems. Dr. Craddock moved that the meeting be set <br />for 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, at the Library. Mr. King <br />seconded the mot,ion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Flores, a member of the Land Committee, opehed <br />discussion on the possible sale of the 30-acre tract on Lime <br />Kiln Road formerly used as a dump ground, and a lot on Loop 82 <br />acquired through tax sale. Mr. Bean said the City could not I <br />give title to the Loop 82 property for two years. Mr. Flores <br />moved that the 30-acre tract on Lime Kiln Road be appraised, <br />as a first step toward sale of the property. Dr. Craddock <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
