Williams <br /> <br />Also present: Tom Harwood; Don Rains; Mr. & Mrs. Richard Mason; Gerald <br />Klossner; Jose Villarreal; Simon Ramirez; Mr. & Mrs. John <br />Morrisset; George Gilbert; Jerri Martin; Mike Wallace; <br />Melissa Millecam; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 9, 1974, were approved on <br />motion of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning on part of Lot 26 and all of Lot 27, Block 1 of the Forest Hills <br />Addition, from "c" to "C-2". The applicant, Don Rains, was present and <br />represented by attorney Thomas Harwood. No objections were presented to <br />the rezoning. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of an <br />Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT 26 <br />AND ALL OF LOT 27 OF BLOCK 1 OF THE FOREST HILLS ADDITION, LOCATED AT <br />802 NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />The ordinance was approved on first reading on motion of Mr. Dibrell and <br />second of Mr. Cunningham. <br /> <br />Tbe Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning on .71 and .703 acres out of J.M. Veramendi League No.1 from <br />"c" to "C-2". Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mason, applicants, were present to request <br />the change. Mr. Jose Villarreal and Mr. Simon Ramirez were present to state <br />objections to the change in zoning on the basis of not enough parking which <br />creates the problem of Skate Skeller patrons parking on private property. The <br />Council discussed means of alleviating this problem through the police <br />department. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of an ordinance <br />as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF .71 and .703 <br />ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER ONE, LOCATED <br />AT 1105 HIGHWAY 123, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Cunningham moved approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Dibrell <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
