<br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING
<br />THE CLASSIFICATION OF ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, THE NUMBER
<br />OF POSITIONS OF EACH CLASSIFICATION, AND THE SALARY AND
<br />STEPS FOR EACH CLASSIFICATION.
<br />
<br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Hansen
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows:

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES
<br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND
<br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART
<br />OF LOT 5, BLOCK 9 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, LOCATED AT
<br />101 SOUTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL).
<br />
<br />Mr. Cunningham moved approval of the Ordinance on third and final reading.
<br />Mr. Sutton seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was
<br />recorded:

<br />AYE: Breihan, Cunningham, Craddock, Flores, Hansen, Sutton
<br />NAY: Dibrell.
<br />
<br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.
<br />
<br />Mayor Craddock stated that nominations for the unexpired, vacant term
<br />on the Planning and Zoning Commission were Ron Jager and Bob Hyatt.
<br />On roll call, the vote was unanimous to appoint Mr. Hyatt to the Commission.
<br />
<br />Mayor Craddock reported the nominations for the five-member Citizens
<br />Review Board to review reappraisal of city taxes: Terry Lighthouse,
<br />Robert Stevenson, Sammie L.C. Hardeman, Polly Dusek, W.E. West and
<br />Herbert A. Yarbrough, Jr. On roll call, Councilmen voted for five members
<br />as follows:

<br />Mayor Craddock then announced the appointments to the Citizens Review Committee
<br />to be Mrs. Dusek and Messrs. Lighthouse, Stevenson, Hardeman and Yarbrough.

<br />Dr. Craddock moved the appointment of Mr. West, Mr. Lou Daugherty and
<br />Mrs. Albert Armstead as alternates to the Citizens Review Board. Mr. Hansen
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />Mr. Breihan moved the appointment of Mr. Jerry Moore, Mrs. Dorothy Yarbrough, I
<br />Dr. Tom Williams and Mrs. W.A. Wyatt, Sr. to the Belvin Street Historical
<br />District Board of Review. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed
<br />unanimously.
<br />
<br />Councilman Cunningham introduced Bob DeGroot who came before the Council
<br />with a Resolution passed by the Student Senate of SWTSU requesting the
<br />City to complete as soon as possible the resurfacing project on Bugg Lane.
