<br />100 <br /> <br />ragular ~aating, novembar 25, 1974 <br /> <br />paga thrae <br /> <br />The Mayor raad tha caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />A CONTRACT WITH EAPAC RESOURCE RECOVERY DIVISION, INC., PROVIDING <br />FOR THE DISPOSAL OF PAPER WASTE COLLECTED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />Mr. Cunningham moved approval 6f the Resolution. Mr. Sutton seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Breihan stated his concern with the sanitary condition of the <br />EAPAC facilities and requested members of the Environmental Advisory Committee <br />inspect the premises. On roll call, the motion to approve the Resolution <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE WORK PERFORMED BY SEASIDE POOLS, INC., AT RIO VISTA <br />PARK, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, IN CONSTRUCTING A SWIMMING POOL FOR SAID <br />PARK AND ACCEPTING SAID WORK AS COMPLETE AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAID PROJECT. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Resolution be approved. Mr. Flores seconded the.motion. <br />Mr. Sutton stated his dissatisfaction with the pool and recommended the City <br />require a five year bond in the amount of $100,000. The City Attorney stated <br />that the contract specified a one year bond and could not be changed without <br />the consent of the contractor. He also stated that the architect had <br />recommended acceptance of the pool as complete. On roll call, the vote to <br />approve the Resolution was recorded as follows: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, Dibrell, Craddock, Flores, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: None <br />ABSTAIN: Breihan. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT 24 <br />AND ALL OF LOTS 25 AND 26 IN BLOCK 14 OF THE SUNSET ACRES ADDITION <br />NUMBER TWO, LOCATED ALONG THE NORTHWEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HIGHWAY 123 <br />AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH BROADWAY STREET, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO <br />"C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Dibrell ~equested a statement from school officials <br />regarding the matter. On roll call, the vote was recorded as follows: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, Craddoc~, Flores, Hansen, Sutton <br />NAY: Breihan, Dibrell. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as . follows : <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN <br />ORDINANCE NUMBERED 1966-19 AND CODIFIED AS APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND KNOWN AS THE GENERAL <br />ZONING ORDINANCE BY ADDING TO SECTION 2 OF SAID ORDINANCE A PARAGRAPH <br />LETTERED "D" ESTABLISHING A WAITING PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS FOR THE FILING <br />OF REAPPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF ZONING. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TRANSFER <br />OF FRANCHISE FOR CABLE TELEVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />PREVIOUSLY GRANTED TO COMMCO OF SAN MARCOS, INC., TO KARNACK CORPORATION <br />OF AUSTIN, TEXAS. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading.
