Barbee sugGested that the City cnarge for pormits <br />to sell meat in San Marcos. In that way the meat inspector would I <br />know when a new 'c'ompany was sellinES meat in town. Alderman Beecroft made'aJfi'motion <br />that the City hire Dr. Ticll:le as meat inspector and that he appointment <br />someone as his assistant. Alderman De Viney seconded the motion. <br />A vote was taken which resulted unanLnously i,n favor of the motion. <br /> <br />An ordinance authorizing the issuance of Ci ty of ::lan 1,larcos rtefunding <br />Bonds, deries of 19~Lr' for the puroose of canceling, refLmding and in <br />lieu of a like amount of outstanding warrants of said City; prescribing <br />the form of the bonds and inferest coupons; providing for the levy, <br />assessm:mnt and, collection of an annual tax on each one [],undred <br />dollars I valuation of all talllable property within the te,rritorial limits <br />of the city to pay the principal and interest on said bonds at maturity; <br />'enacti.ng provj,Rions incident and relating to the subject and purpose <br />of this ordinance; and declaring an emergency, was presented to t-i1.e <br />Council for adoption. Alderman Allen made a motion thai the ordinance <br />be adopted. Aldel'l1lan S'Ili th seconded the motion.
