Barbee, City Treasurer, of the City of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY: I That said City, through its City Council, has by ordinance passed on November 17, 1954, approved, audited and allowed the claim of JOHN MEENTS CONSTRUCTION cmlPANY, Contractor, in connection with the construction of extensions and improvements to the waterworks system and the sewer system of the City of San Marcos, under contract between said City and said Contractor; being Estimate No.1 in the amount of $15,883.72 of said Con- tractor; and has authorized to be is~ued and delivered to said Contractor CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1954, NumberS 1 to l5, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating $15,000.00. That pursuant to said ordinance passed November 17, 1954, and pursuant to that certain ordinance passed September 15, 1954, we have on this day delivered to said John Meents Construction Company, Contractor,.CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEMIMPROVENENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1954, Numbers 1 to 15, inclusive, in the principal amount of $15,000.00, in part pay- ment of the contract price due said Contractors, in accordance with contract between said Contractor and the City of San Marcos dated September 16, 1954; said warrants being part of a total authorized issue of $35,000.00, dated September 1, 1954, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, authorized to be issued for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of said City to be incurred in constructing extensions and improvements to the waterworks system and the sewer system of said City; and that I
