<br />.... <br /> <br />93 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />QE!2lll!!iQ~ <br />CREI\.TING THE AIRPORT BOARD; APPOINTING lVlEjlffiERS <br />OF SAID BOARD; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENT OF SUB- <br />SEQUENT MEtiffiERS; AND DEFINmG THE POWERS AND THE <br />DUTIES OF SAID AIRPORT BOARD. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />SECTION I There is hereby created what is to be known as <br />"Municipal Airport Board", to consist of five members, appointed <br /> <br />by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />SECTION II The members of said board shall possess such <br /> <br />residence and other qualifications as, in the judgment of the City <br /> <br /> <br />Council, shall be in the best interests of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />SECTION III The members of said board shall be Robert P. <br /> <br />Lowman, Caddo Wright, Ernest Cummings, Willard Pennington, and Coy <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />DeViney. The terms of three of such board members shall expire on <br />December 30, 1955, and the terms of the other two members shall ex- <br />pire on December 31, 1956. Said board shall determine which terms <br />shall expire at the end of 1955 and which shall expire at the end <br />of 1956. Thereafter, the City Council shall appoint members to the <br />board to replace those whose terms have expired, it being expressly <br />provided that a member may be reappointed from time to time, as in <br />the judgment of the City Council may be for the best interests of <br />the City of San Marcos, All members of the board appointed after <br />the passage of this ordinance shall serve two year terms. In case <br />of the death, resignation, or inability of a member of the board to <br />serve his entire term, a successor may be appointed by the City Coun- <br /> <br />c it to serve the unexpired term. <br /> <br />SECTION IV The duties of said board shall be to plan the <br /> <br />.,' ... <br />I <br /> <br />management, financing, operation and maintenance of the City Airport, <br /> <br /> <br />to carry such plans into effect, to advise the City Council and City <br /> <br />Executive Secretary in regard to all matters arising in connection <br /> <br /> <br />with said airport, said board, however, to be at all times under and <br /> <br />subject to the control and direction of the City Council and the City <br /> <br />Executive Secretary. <br />
