Barbee, City Treasurer, of the City of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY: passed on the /at.d d ay its City Council, has by ordinance of p~ 1955, approved, of John Meen s Construction Company, That said City, through audited and allowed the claim contractor, in connection with the construction of extensions and improvements to the waterworks system and the sewer system of the City of San Marcos, under contract between said City and said Contractor, said claim being Estimate No.2 in the amount of $12,195.70 of said Contractor, and has authorized to be issued I and delivered to said Contractor CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1954, Numbers 16 to 27, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggre- gating $12,000.00, That pursuant to said ordinance passed on the~~~ day of ~//A~-- , 1955, and pursuant to that certain ordinance passed September 15, 1954, we have on this day delivered to said John Meents Construction Company, Contractor, CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1954, Numbers 16 to 27, inclusive, in the total amount of $12,000.00, in part payment of the contract I price due said Contractor, in accordance with contract between said Contractor and the City of San Marcos dated September 16, 1954; said warrants being part of a total authorized issue of $35,000.00 dated September 1, 1954, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, authorized to be isssued for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of said City to be incurred in constructing extensions and improvements to the waterworks system and the
