Comal~

Gen tlerlsn:

It has been brought to our attention that there is an
application for a dance permit, dated February 26, 1955,
said dance to be given in the Casino Hall, located in
above nmaed building.

These premises have been inspected by the Fire Marshal
and City Sanitarian, and it has been found that said
Casino Hall, when used for the purpose of a dance,
creates a definite fire hazard.

I

Our investigation shows that there is only one rest
room, which would have to be used by both sexes.
Also, there are no fire extinguishers available in
case of a fire. The flooring of the Casino Hall is
very unsteady. There are cracks in the floor, and
should someone drop a cigarette one of these
cracks, i'::-' would fall on the eeiline; the dwelling
places below. The windows have been broken out in
several places and have not been replaced. The doors
on the entrance l:lv,rard instead of outward, which
is in violation the buildin8 code on places
lJ..S3d for Dublic zatheriD-3s.

fljJ"~,

p-re j\1a rshal

i~k1 /gn-u)/#
,/jiCity Sanitarian
V

I
