<br />,. <br /> <br />II ' ! - <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been finally <br /> <br />passed. <br /> <br />The ordinance is as follows: <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAIMS FOR INDEBTEDNESS INCURRED <br />IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF EXTENSIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO <br />THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE DELIVERY OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS <br />IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS6 SERIES OF 1954, TO EVIDENCE SAID <br />INDEBTEDNESS; AND DE LA RING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, heretofore on the 28th day of April, 1954, the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, passed an ordinance <br />authorizing the issuance of warrants in the principal sum of <br />$25,000.00, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of <br /> <br />said City to be incurred in the construction of extensions and <br />improvements to the waterworks system of said City, including <br /> <br />engineer's fee in connection therewith; such warrants to be known <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />as CITY OF SAN MARCOS WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF <br />1954, dated May 15, 1954, Numbered 1 to 25, inclusive, in the <br />denomination of $1,000 each, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, <br />and maturing on May 15th, $3,000 in each of the years 1960 and <br />1961, $5,000 in 1962, $7,000 in 1963, $2,000 in each of the years <br />1964 and 1965, and $3,000 in 1966, which ordinance is of record <br /> <br />in Book 17, page 135, et seq., of the Minutes of the City Council; <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following claims, duly verified, have been <br />presented to the City Council of said City: <br /> <br /> DATE CLAIMANT <br /> 12-31-54 Pittsburgh..,Des Moines <br /> Steel Co. <br /> 1-27-55 Pittsburgh-Des Moines <br /> Steel Co. <br />I 2-10-55 John Meents Construc- <br /> tion Co. <br /> Cyclone Fence Co. <br /> Magee Electric Co. <br /> 12-31-54 Frank T.
