<br />30 <br /> <br />Alderman Hill then stated that he thought an amendment should be made <br />to the present sub-division ordinance, requiring a contour map on <br />each and every sub-division, in order that the Council can determine <br />whether or not the streets will be open to streets outside the sub- <br />division, and that old gulleys and ditches are not being used as <br />the course of the street. No action was taken until the matter can <br />be further studied. <br /> <br />o <br />[I'J <br />t:.;J <br />:-,c <br />c. <br /> <br />Victor Bowers presented the plans and specifications on the <br />recreation building. to be located. in the park. He stated that <br />e>,erything is in order for the notice to bidders to be p'J_blished. <br />Alderman Hill made a motion that Mayor Dietterich be authorized <br />to have a not ice to bidders pub li she d and tha t the bi ds be <br />opened on June 22, 1955. Bids will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. <br />on June 21, 1955. !\lderman Smith seconded the motion. A vote <br />was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Barbee stated that Roy Lane, Garbage Superintendent, <br />has fOlli~d that several families are using army garbage cans, <br />which weigh much more than the re6~lation cans. He has asked <br />that the City prohibit the use of these haavy cana, as the men <br />cannot lift them to the trucks. The- Council decided that a <br />survey should be made to determine how many of these cans are <br />being used at present, before any action is taken. <br /> <br />Mr, Paul J. Rogers presented a plat of Unit #3 of the <br />3pringlake Hills Sub-Division out of the T. J. Chambers Lea., <br />Hays County, to be approved by the Council. Mr. Rogers stated <br />that the Sub-Division had beel~ furnished wi th water, gas, streets <br />but sewer had not been available. After studying the plat, <br />Alderman Allen made a motion that the plat be approved as it <br />appears that all requirements have been met. Alderman De Viney <br />aeconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimously <br />in favor of the motion. <br /> <br />There was a discussion on notifying the members that have <br />been nominated to the Planning & Zoning Commission. No action <br />was taken. <br /> <br />There being no further business to discuss, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 4:30 P.
