<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,~ <br /> <br />5 .;<,..B <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $5,000.00 CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1955, issued <br />for the purpose of paying claims incurred in constructing street <br />improvements in the City of San Marcos (being part of a total <br />authorized issue of $40,000.00), dated April 15, 1955, Numbered 1 <br />to 5, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, bearing 3~% <br />iriterest per annum, and maturing on April 15, 1972; and that we <br />were at the date of such signatures the duly, chosen, qualified <br />and acting officers indicated therein and authorized to execute <br />the same. <br />',1/E FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction <br />of street improvements in the City of San Marcos have been duly <br />audited and allowed and declared to be the lawful indebtedness of <br />said City of S'an Marcos, and said indebtedness has been evidenced <br />by the issuance and delivery to the First National Bank, San <br />Marcos, Texas, the holders of said claims, of CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS, SEIUES OF 1955, dated April 15, 1955, <br />Numbered 1 to, 5, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, <br />aggregating $5,000.00, and that said City of San Marcos has <br />received full Value and consideration for said warrants Numbers <br />1 to 5, inclusive; and that the excess ,of $133.19, as shown by <br />said claims, has been carried forward to the next exchange of <br />claims for warrants, <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that there is no litigation pending or <br />threatened growing out of the issuance of said warrants or,1n any <br />way affecting the titles of the within named officers to their <br />respective offices. <br />
