Barbee <br />Executive Secretary <br />City of San Marcos <br />San Marcos, Texas <br />Dear Sir: <br />In regard to the planning fees in connection with the two proposed <br />Fire Stations for the City of San Marcos, we will make the property <br />surveys, the topographic maps and supervise the digging of any test <br />holes that are necessary, the cost of the test holes being at your <br />expense. And in addition we will prepare plans and specifications, <br />assist in taking bids and awarding a contract for the construction <br />of the stations and furnish general supervision during construction. <br />The supervision will consist in visits to the sites to check the <br />foundations before the concrete is poured, and to check the place- <br />ment of the steel when the beams and slabs are poured, and then <br />occasional visits to see that the contractor is performing the work <br />properly and assist the contractor in any way necessary in order to <br />complete the project. <br />The fee will be payable in accordance with the schedule stipulated <br />in our engineering contract at present in force with the City and <br />because of the nature of this work our charge will be six (6) per- <br />cent of the project cost for the services above enumerated. <br />Trusting you will find this to be satisfactory, I am <br />Sincerel , <br />�f <br />Frank T.
