The motion was seconded by Alderman <br /> <br />Smith and carried by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Aldermen <br /> <br />Smith <br /> <br />De Viney <br /> <br />Hill <br /> <br />NOES: None. 1 <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been finally <br /> <br />passed. <br /> <br />The ORDINANCE is as follows: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAIMS FOR INDEBTEDNESS INCURRED <br />IN CONSTRUCTING STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE DELIVERY OF CITY OFS\N <br />MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT WARRANTS SERIES OF 195~, TO <br />EVIDENCE SAID INDEBTEDNESS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, heretofore on the 20th day of April, 1955, the City <br /> <br />Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, passed an ordinance <br /> <br />authorizing the issuance of CITY OF SAN MARCOS STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1955, dated April 15, 1955, Numbered 1 to 40, <br />inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating <br />$40,000.00, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, and maturing <br />$10,000.00 on April 15th in each of the years 1972 to 1975, both <br /> <br />inclusive, for the purpose of paying claims to be incurred by <br />the City of San Marcos in constructing street improvements in said <br />City; which ordinance is of record in Book 19, page 587A, et seq. <br />Minutes of said City Council; and, <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following claims, duly verified, have been <br />presented to the City Council of .saidCi ty; <br />
