<br />aggregating $6,000.00, evidencing the indebtedness due by the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, to said First National Bank, San <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Marcos, Texas, as assignee of said claims; and that the excess <br /> <br />of $16.29 as shown by said list of claims, be carried forward <br />to the next exchange of claims for warrants. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />That the City of San Marcos having received full value and <br />consideration for the warrants hereinabove described, the City <br />Treasurer is hereby authorized and instructed to register said <br />warrants, and after registration thereof, to deliver same to the <br />First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, and the Mayor, City <br />Secretary and City Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute <br /> <br />such other and further instruments, certificates and statements <br /> <br />as shall be necessary, convenient or appropriate to refle.ct the <br /> <br />entire validity of said warrants. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />By reason of the fact that the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, Texas, considers the passage of this ordinance <br /> <br />necessary for the general we]are of said City and of its <br /> <br />citizens, it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />demanding that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at more <br />than one meeting of the City Council be suspended, and that this <br />ordinance take effect immediately from and after its passage, <br /> <br />and it is so ordained. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this;r/~~ of September, 1955. <br />r. / / ~ <br />(jf~~"')Tex" <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />.---" <br /> <br />/) ~'.L <br />L:---:~9~ / <br />
