E, Dietterich V~yor of San Marcos San Marcos, Texas Re: Proposed Right-of-Way widening, U.S. Highway # 81, San Marcos, TEXAS Dear Mayor Dietterich: In accordance with the request IT~de by the City Council, I have inspected the proposed Right-Of-Way widening of Highway # 81 for the purpose of determining the number of parcels that are affected in order to estimate the total fee involved in my appraisal. In several cases there is more than one parcel under the same ownership. I have considered this as one parcel, as it is very likely that in case of conderrnation all the properties under one ownership can be handled in one law suit. There are also several leaseholds, which I have considered along with the fee title as one parcel. In doing this, I am assuming that in case of condemnation both the lessoT and lessee can be handled in one law suit. The properties involved are located between the south city limits and extends along the highway to the railroad. The properties are divided into four segments, as follows: 1. South side of the highway between the south city limits and the circle -----------------------20 parcels. 2. 1'he south side o~ the highway between the circle and the railroau--.---------------- -- ---- -- --- -l4 parcels. 3.
