Dietterich
Mayor City of San Marcos
San Marcos, Texas

Dear Sir;

I

Complying with the request oi the City Commission at it's last
meeting held at 2:00 P. M. on Wednesday, March 28, 1956, I have
entered into considerable discussion with Mr. Will Campbell con-
cerning his appointment as the authorized negotiator for the City
of San Marcos in acquiring right-oi-way property which is present-
ly being appraised by Mr. Harold Legge. '

Following are points which have been mutually agreed upon:

(1) There are thirty-four (34) takings constituting thirty-four
(34) appraisals involved. (Please refer to attached list which
indicates the number assigned to each taking.)

(2) Mr. Campbell will be paid on each taking on which an option is
received, provided the option is obtained prior to the case
going before a CQndElIlll1a.tion Commission. He will be paid regard-
less of who obtains the option.

(3) The negotiator will be paid a per diem of $12.00 when out-of-
town on authorized business.

(4) The negotiator will be paid a fixed salary of $120.00 p~r week.
,.,;1'1 "
(5) The negotiator will be paid a bonus fee of $50.00 on~the first
twelve (12) takings on which options are secured. \'
__N.:i. The first fifteen (15) days will be spent
in preparation and the last portion will be spent in the actual nego-
tiati, ons, however, the city would not be obligated to expend. salary
for any fixed period of time, but the sixty (60) day period was used
merely as a possible completion time. ~~. Campbell also understands
that the city is buying his full time under this schedule of salary
and fees and intends to devote his time to the best of his knowledge
and ability to bring the negotations to the earliest possible con-
clusion.
