r, 'i It I l THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS CITY OF SAN MARCOS We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $10,000 CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 11 to 20, inclusive, in the denomi- nation of $1,000 each, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum,. and maturing on August 15, 1975, being part of a total authorized issue of $85,000.00, authorized by ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos on September 7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said City; and that we were at the date of such signatures the duly chosen, qualified and acting officers indicated therein and authorized to execute the same. WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction of fire stations, including architect's fee in connection there- with, have been duly audited and allowed and declared to be the lawful indebtedness of the City of San Marcos, and said indebted- ness has been evidenced by the issuance and delivery of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 11 to 20, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating $10,000.00, to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, the holder of said claims, and that said City of San Marcos has received full value and consideration for said Warrants Numbered 11 to 20, inclusive; and that the excess of $738.31, as shown by said claims, has been carried forward to the next exchange of claims for warrants.
