J I I stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for mid City; and, WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council on March 28, 1956, the Mayor was authorized, ordered and directed to publish notice to bidders for the purchase of Two (2) Combination Pumper and Booster Trucks and notice of intention of the City to pay all or a part of the cost of such equipment by the issuance and delivery of warrants out of the above described issue; and, WHEREAS, the City Council affirmatively finds that said notice to bidders was duly given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of San Marcos, in the manner and for the time provided by law; and, WHEREAS, the City Council further affirmatively finds that no petition of any kind or character in respect to said notice to bidders and notice of intention to issue said warrants has been filed, and the time during which such a petition could have been filed has elapsed; and, WHEREAS, said bids having been found to be in proper form and order and accompanied by the required deposits, the City Council now desires to award contract to the lowest and beat bidder; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: That the bid I. % or ~";.-...J -:.c~-1;t).
