<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />501 -il <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $8,000.00 CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated August 15, <br />1955, Numbered 21 to 28, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 <br />each, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, and maturing on August <br />15, 1975, being part of a total authorized issue of $85,000.00, <br />authorized by ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos on September 7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing <br />the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in con- <br />structing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said <br />City, including architect's fee in connection therewith, and <br />purchasing fire equipment for said City; and that we were at the <br />date of such signatures the duly chosen, qualified and acting <br />officers indicated therein and authorized to execute the same. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction <br />of fire stations, including architect's fee in connection there- <br />with, have been duly audited and allowed and declared to be the <br />lawful indebtedness of the City of San Marcos, and said indebted- <br />ness has been evidenced by the issuance and delivery of CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, <br />1955, Numbered 21 to 28, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 <br />each, aggregating $8,000.00, to the First National Bank, San <br />Marcos, Texas, the holder of said claims, and that said City of <br />San Marcos has received full value and consideration for said <br />warrants numbered 21 to 28, inclusive; and that the excess of <br />$868.17, as shown by said claims, has been carried forward to <br />the next exchange of claims for warrants. <br />
