<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $14,000 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated <br />August 15, 1955, Numbered 29 to 42, inclusive, in the denomination <br />of $1,000 each, bearing 3-1/2% interest per annum, and maturing <br />on August 15th, $7,000 in 1975 and $7,000 in 1976, heingpart <br />of a total authort2d issue of $85,000.00, authorized by ordinance <br />passed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos on September <br />7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the <br />City of San Marcos to be incurred in constructing fire stations <br />and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's <br />fee in connection therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for <br />said City; and that we were at the date of such signatures the <br />duly chosen, qualified and acting officers indicated therein and <br />authorized to execute the same. <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction <br />of fire stations, including architect's fee in connection there~ <br />with, have been duly audited and allowed and declared to be the <br />lawful indebtedness of the City of San Marcos, and said indebted- <br />ness has been evidenced by the issuance and delivery of CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, <br />1955, Numbered 29 to 42, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 <br />each, aggregating $14,000.00, to the First National Bank, San <br />Marcos, Texas, the holder of said claims, and that said City of <br />San Marcos has reCeived full value and consideration for said <br />Warrants Numbered 29 to 42, inclusive. <br />WE FURTHE~ CERTIFY that there is no litigation pending or <br />threatened growing out of the issuance of said warrants or in <br />any way affecting the titles of the within named officers to <br />their respective offices. <br />
