<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />;&,1 <br />;1 <br /> <br />J;.( []O <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $23,000.00 CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION .AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, <br />1955, Numbered 51 to 73, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 <br />each, bearing 3~% interest per annum, and maturing on August 15th, <br />$10,000 in 1976 and $13,000 in 1977, being part of a total author- <br />ized issue of $85,000.00 authorized by ordinance passed by the <br />City Council of the City of San Marcos on September 7, 1955, for <br />the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San <br />Marcos to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing <br />sites therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connec- <br />tion therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said CitYj and <br />that we were at the date of such signtures, the duly chosen, <br /> <br />qualified and acting officers indicated therein and authorized to <br /> <br />execute the same. <br /> <br />WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction of <br /> <br />fire stations and purchasing fire equipment have been duly <br /> <br /> <br />audited and allowed and declared to be the lawful indebtedness of <br /> <br />the City of San Marcos and said indebtedness has been evidenced <br /> <br />by the issuance and delivery of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION <br />AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 51 to 73, <br />inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating <br />$23,000.00, to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, the <br />holder of said claims, and that said City of San Marcos has <br /> <br />received full value and consideration for said Warrants Numbered <br /> <br /> <br />51 to 73, inclusivej and that the excess of $55.50, as shownby <br /> <br /> <br />said claims, has been carried forward to the next exchange of <br /> <br />claims for warrants. <br />
