I I ;&,1 ;1 J;.( []O THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS CITY OF SAN MARCOS We, the undersigned officers of the City of San Marcos, Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that we did officially sign $23,000.00 CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION .AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS, dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 51 to 73, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, bearing 3~% interest per annum, and maturing on August 15th, $10,000 in 1976 and $13,000 in 1977, being part of a total author- ized issue of $85,000.00 authorized by ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos on September 7, 1955, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred in constructing fire stations and purchasing sites therefor in said City, including architect's fee in connec- tion therewith, and purchasing fire equipment for said CitYj and that we were at the date of such signtures, the duly chosen, qualified and acting officers indicated therein and authorized to execute the same. WE FURTHER CERTIFY that claims incurred in the construction of fire stations and purchasing fire equipment have been duly audited and allowed and declared to be the lawful indebtedness of the City of San Marcos and said indebtedness has been evidenced by the issuance and delivery of CITY OF SAN MARCOS FIRE STATION AND EQUIPMENT WARRANTS dated August 15, 1955, Numbered 51 to 73, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, aggregating $23,000.00, to the First National Bank, San Marcos, Texas, the holder of said claims, and that said City of San Marcos has received full value and consideration for said Warrants Numbered 51 to 73, inclusivej and that the excess of $55.50, as shownby said claims, has been carried forward to the next exchange of claims for warrants.
