<br />t! <br /> <br />and Son are in the process of spending $100,600.00 on the Municipal Airport, but <br />urgently need some additional land. A plat was presented showing the land needed. <br />It was estimated that it would cost approximately $6,000.00 to obtain this needed <br />land from the three property owners. It was suggested that a clause be added to <br />the present lease whereunder Wm. J. Graham & Son will pay 5500.00 a year rent to the <br />City for the use of this land. Mr. Beecroft then made a motion that the Mayor be <br />given authority to buy the necessary property from the property owners and to also <br />make a contract with Wm. J. Graham & Son to pay $500.00 a year rent for this land. <br />Mr. Hillburn seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted' unanimously in <br />favor of the motion. <br /> <br />The past due water bill of G. H. Tijerina of 8 months in the amount of $60.46 I <br />was brought to the attention of the Council. It was mutually agreed that Mr. Tijermna <br />pay his current June bill and pay ten dollars each month on his past due account. <br />He is also to have all leaky faucets fixed and if no; then the City will have same, <br />done and charge to his account. <br /> <br />~, <br />z <br />r. <br />c,' <br />= <br /> <br />The re"ular meetin.; day of the City Council was chan.]ed by a motion made by <br />Mr. Hillburn from Wednesday to Tuesday. Mr. Steakley seconded the mocion. A vote <br />was taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Davis made a motion that the Mayor be authorized and directed to sell,: <br />Ten Thousand Dollars (SlO,OOO.OO) in City ,Expense Warrancs, Or the current issue <br />authorized by the City Council May 8, 1957, to the State Bank & Trust Company 0_ <br />San Marcos, the proceeds to be deposited to the General rund. Mr. Beecroft seconded <br />the motion, which mn being put to a vote was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />~r,r. Hillburn made a motion that effective May 15, 1957, Fredericka Hopkins be <br />given a twenty-five ($25.00) dollar a month raise. Mr. Steakley seconded the motion. <br />Upon being put to a vote ic was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />There being no further business to diSCUSS, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 P.
