ff

short discussion, Mr. Steakley, with the help of Mr. Beecroft, and Mr. Korff, was to
have an Qrdinance drawn up of this nature.

I-A'
Z
("';)
b.'":'
~

It was mutually agreed that the property owners of land adjacent to Mill Street
be given permission to connect on the new City Sewer line by paying the $25.00
connection fee at $5.00 down and $4.00 per month.

The curb and gutter problem was tabled until Mr. Fuller takes over at Executive
Director.

Mr. Major presented some recommendations for fees against Carnivals or otfuer I
traveling shows. Mr. Korff made a motion that an ordinance be drawn up from these
recommendations, for fees and other charges against a Carnival or traveling show,
coming into the City of San Marcos. Mr. Davis seconded the motion. A vote was
taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion.

A pecition was then presented to the Council asking that the Westover Community
have City water available to it, in such quantity and with sufficient pressure to
allow normal sprinkling of lawns, and to provide a water main of sufficient size
to install a fire plug at some appropriate point. Action on this petition was
deferred until Mr. Fuller takes over as Executive Director.

Mr. Don Ennis then brought to the attention of the Council that the Mayor and
Aldermen can now be ihc1uded in the Blanket Bond that the City recently took out on
all the employees. The premium on same would be $68.50 for a three year period;
whereas at the present rate each bond is $15.00 per year each or $90.00 per year in
all, a total of $270.00 over a period of three years. Thus under the Blanket Bond
the saving is $211.50. Ml'. Beecroft then made a motion that the Mayor and Aldermen
1:;e added to the Blanket Bond at the s~id rate of $68.50 for a three ;'ear.oeriod. Mr.
Steakley seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimousiy in favor
of the motion.

Mr. Asa Dees, of the Street Department, told the Council be needed a new gravel
pit. He was instructed to work out of the present one until Mr. Fuller takes over
as Executive Director.

There being no further business La discuss, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 P. M. I

The foregoing and above minutes is a true and correct record of all matters
transpiring at the regular meeting held on June 11th, 1957.

CJl r'Y71 r7~ r; !
f I (;/ .
. . .
