<br />ff <br /> <br />short discussion, Mr. Steakley, with the help of Mr. Beecroft, and Mr. Korff, was to <br />have an Qrdinance drawn up of this nature. <br /> <br />I-A' <br />Z <br />("';) <br />b.'":' <br />~ <br /> <br />It was mutually agreed that the property owners of land adjacent to Mill Street <br />be given permission to connect on the new City Sewer line by paying the $25.00 <br />connection fee at $5.00 down and $4.00 per month. <br /> <br />The curb and gutter problem was tabled until Mr. Fuller takes over at Executive <br />Director. <br /> <br />Mr. Major presented some recommendations for fees against Carnivals or otfuer I <br />traveling shows. Mr. Korff made a motion that an ordinance be drawn up from these <br />recommendations, for fees and other charges against a Carnival or traveling show, <br />coming into the City of San Marcos. Mr. Davis seconded the motion. A vote was <br />taken which resulted unanimously in favor of the motion. <br /> <br />A pecition was then presented to the Council asking that the Westover Community <br />have City water available to it, in such quantity and with sufficient pressure to <br />allow normal sprinkling of lawns, and to provide a water main of sufficient size <br />to install a fire plug at some appropriate point. Action on this petition was <br />deferred until Mr. Fuller takes over as Executive Director. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Ennis then brought to the attention of the Council that the Mayor and <br />Aldermen can now be ihc1uded in the Blanket Bond that the City recently took out on <br />all the employees. The premium on same would be $68.50 for a three year period; <br />whereas at the present rate each bond is $15.00 per year each or $90.00 per year in <br />all, a total of $270.00 over a period of three years. Thus under the Blanket Bond <br />the saving is $211.50. Ml'. Beecroft then made a motion that the Mayor and Aldermen <br />1:;e added to the Blanket Bond at the s~id rate of $68.50 for a three ;'ear.oeriod. Mr. <br />Steakley seconded the motion. A vote was taken which resulted unanimousiy in favor <br />of the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Asa Dees, of the Street Department, told the Council be needed a new gravel <br />pit. He was instructed to work out of the present one until Mr. Fuller takes over <br />as Executive Director. <br /> <br />There being no further business La discuss, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 P. M.
