<br />~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />~ <br />g/ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING, TAXES FOR THE USE AND <br />SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN Mi\.RCOS, TEXAS; AND, TO PROVIDE A SINK- <br />ING FUND FOR THE RETIREMENT OF THE BONDED DEBT <br />OF THE CITY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby levied for the <br />year 1957, upon all property, rea 1, personal or mixed, not <br />exempt from, taxation by the constitution and laws of this <br />State, within the corporate limits of said City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and there shall be collected, for the use and support <br />of the municipal government of the City of San Marcos, Texas; <br />and, to prOVide a sinking fund for the retirement of the <br />bonded debt of the City a tax of Two Dollars and. Ten Cents <br />($2.10) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of valuation <br />of suchwopertYi and said tax, so levied and collected, shall <br />be apportioned to the specific purposes hereinafter set forth: <br />a. For the payment of current expenses and to be <br />deposited in the Genera.! Fund, ,One Dollar <br />and Fifty Nine Cents ($1.59) on each One <br />Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of valuation of <br /> <br />such property; ,and <br /> <br />b. To provide a Sinking Fund for the payment <br /> of the principa land interest and the <br /> retirement of the bonded debt, as the same <br /> shall become due, Fifty One Cents ( 51~ ) on <br /> each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of <br /> <br />valuation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: There is hereby levied and there shall <br /> <br />be collected from every person, firm, assoication or corporation <br />pursuing any occupation taxed by the General Laws of the <br />State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance <br />
