<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />===-=:_=::1'_=_== <br /> <br />~ <br />/' .j' ,7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the General Service Administration solicits proposals for a site <br />on which to erect a Federal building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has such a site which meets the require- <br />ments of the General Service Administration with respect to area and <br />approximate location; and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this site is presently being utilized by the San Marcos Library, <br />a Municipal function which can be readily transferred to another location; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has an immediate need for the present <br />building and location utilized as a Post Office by The Federal Government; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to <br />exchange locations with the Federal Government. <br /> <br />New, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />That the City Manager is hereby directed and empowered to offer Block 27 <br />of the original Town of San Marcos to General Service Administration as <br />a site for the proposed building in exchange for the present building <br />and site of the Federal Post Office, being Lots 3 and 4 of Block 10, <br />Original Town of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSES AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, this <br />the 22nd day of November, 1957, A.D. <br /> <br />c~ <br />, / <br /> <br /> <br />(/ / <br />LLc/ ,J <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />jL. h, 7/;-/ <br />car;~~:A~~'~a'~h:~i~~ Secretary <br /> <br />I <br />
