All proceeds from the sale will be used for the <br /> <br />benefit of needy war veterans and the orphans and widows of deceased <br /> <br />veterans. <br /> <br />The annual sale of the V. F. W. BUddy Poppy enables all <br /> <br />citizens to show their gratitude to veterans and to have a part in <br /> <br />continuing the assistance rendered to needy war veterans and their <br /> <br />families. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, I, calvin M. Allen, as Mayor of San Marcos, <br /> <br />Texas, do hereby proclaim May 24, 1958, as <br /> <br />V. F. W. BUDDY poppy DAY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREUPON I have set my hand and caused the seal of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, to be affixed this 20th day of May, A.
