<br />l' <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />123 <br /> <br />OHDINANCE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN OHDINANCE ~hENDING AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED <br />OCTOb;;:;, 3, 192.9, BY THE BOAHD OF COI,~V.ISSIONEi1S <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MABCOS ENTITLED "AN <br />CHDINANCE HEC;ULATIl\'G THE INSTALLATIO~ OF GAS <br />PIPING ,V:::THIN THE CITY OF SAN iflliiCOS, <br />PHOVIDING FOH APPOINTN1ENT OF GAS INSPECTOR <br />AND DEFINING THE DUTIES OF GAS INSPECTOH"; <br />AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES ~ OH S~CTIONS OF <br />ORDINANCiS, IN CONFLICT HEHE'NITH. <br /> <br />BE IT OHDAIN::D BY THE GOVERNING BODY Of THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />That certain ordinance adoptod by the Board <br /> <br />of Commissioners of the City of Sen Marcos on October 3, 1929 <br /> <br />entitled "AN ORDINANCE HEGULATII~ THE INSTALLATION OF GAS PIPING <br /> <br />NITHIN THE CITY OF SAN lfJ\?,COS, PHOVIDING FCR APPOJNn,lENJ OF GAS <br /> <br />INSP"CTOil AND DEFINI",;::; THE DUTIES OF GAS INSPECICH" is hereby amended <br /> <br />by adding thereto a new section entitled Section 33 which reads as <br /> <br />fOllow-s = <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />"Section 3~. <br /> <br />Outdoor Gas Liqht Installation--Not- <br />withstanding any provisions to tht <br />contrary heroin contained, the following <br />specifications shall be applicable to <br />the installation of outdoor gas lights. <br />Copper tubing complying with the A.rnerican <br />Society for Testing ;;\aterials, Standard <br />B-75-52, may be used for the supply <br />piping for outdoor gas lights. The <br />copper tubing shall not be less than <br />1/4" O.D. and shall be of a size as to <br />provide 3 supply of gas sufficient to <br />meet the demand of the appliance with- <br />out undue loss of pressure. Standard <br />pipe saddle or GaddIe tee may be used <br />for connecting the copper tubing to the <br />house piping system when the connec- <br />tion is located outside of a building. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />In the event the connection is lo- <br />cated insido or under a building, the <br />connection and the piping to a point <br />outside of the building shall be in <br />accordance with other provisions herein <br />contained applicable in such circumstances." <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />That all ordinances or parts of <br /> <br />ordinance5 in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />That this ordinance, after its pas- <br /> <br />sage, shall he published in every issue of the official <br />
