<br />REGULAR MEEIIt~ HELD ON NOVEhffiER 12, 1958 <br /> <br />4lI <br />185 <br /> <br />On the 12th day of November, 1958, the Governing Body of the city of San <br />Marcos met in Regular Session, at 2,00 o'clock P.M., Mayor C. Fuller <br />City Secretary Carlyn Tatch <br /> <br />Mrs. Roland Manske, AAUN <br />Mrs. Peevy, San Antonio Light <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Allen and the minutes of the <br />meetings held on October 14th, October 28th and October 31st were approved. <br /> <br />The City MarJager reported that in accordance with instructions from the <br />Council at the October 31st meetirJg, the request from the Chamber of Comrnerce <br />regarding Ranch Road 12 relocation had been forwarded to the District Engineer. <br />A reply had been received to the effect that as toe suggested route was over <br />one (1) mile longer and was not a satisfactory substitute for the present route <br />"We should concentrate on trying to better Dr apply corrective measures to the <br />remaining one-half (~) mile where most of the objectionable features prevail--". <br /> <br />The Mayor advised that he would contact the District Engineer and <br />arrange a meeting to determine what the City should do to better the existing <br />route. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that, in accordance with the executed Municipal <br />Construction and Maintenance Agreement, the Texas Highway Department had re- <br />quested toe City adopt an ordinance requiring parallel parking on West Hopkins <br />Street and parking on one side only to be permitted on that portion of West <br />Hopkins where toe curb distance is 30' to 33' (Scott Street to 400' North of <br />Bishop Street). Steakley <br /> <br />NAYES: None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Whereupon the Mayor proclaimed the Ordinance passed and approved. <br /> <br />Ci ty Manager Fuller stated that informal bids were requested on the Ci tys' <br />requirements for anti-freeze for the coming winter season - prices Were requested <br />for "Anti-freeze, permanent type (ethylene - glycol) with rust inhibitor - Prestone <br />or equal"..
