wi th him to further extend sewer a.nd .vater to Blocks 5 ,c- (, of the Cedar Plateau
;\ddition. [',Jr. 'l'uttle owns this property and is interested i:1 subdivision improve-
liile extensions. i..r. Tuttle has offered to assume one half t:le cost of the
extensions if the City will aS,sume the othe.r half. ,Hter some discussion the City
Council agreed that this was, the sar18 type of arrangement wl1ich the City had
previously ",ade with Lr. Ilager,s under. similar conditions, therefore the common
the expense of a pump which. was installed to slipply water to the Spring Lake Eills
:,dditiin prior to the time of annexation, namely the SU",Her and fall 01 1')57. me
rental on the pump' for this period amounts to Olle Hundred Forty Five lJollars and
Thirty Cell ts (.;1115.30). Investietation indicated that originally the Ci ty was only
to furnish wate~ to the area1 ~;r. Rogers having installed and owned the pipes.
SometinJe; about 1955t the City gave illr. aOCJers an old piston type pump which T.:r.
i"louers had rebui,lt at his own expense. '.:.']lis was used for about a year. However.
in 1956 the City furnisl1ed ancl instaHed a new li,:" pump to furnish wa-ter to the
addi ti,on. This pump could mt prociuce enough water for the needs .and, in 1957,
J~r. Joqers obtained a pmnp i'rOGl ::;an j...ntonio i~achjl1e ~- :iupply Company at his own
expense. This is the pump on which the rent \vas, under consideration. 'I'he electric
bill for this pump has always been paid by the City, In view of the fact that
only par, of the houses in this addition were in the City limits prior to the
time of annexation, and since the City has always assumed the cost of the electric
bill. for the pump, the Council felt that the City had absolved their part of the
responsibility for furnishing adequate water to that addition.
provide a location, a place to fill water trul/ks, nnd uniformed police at each
per formnnce of the Circus which the Anierican Legion is sponsoring in San i\larCOS
on Thursday, f,;arch 12. The Council agreed that the City would be unable to
furnish a location within the City limits for the circus, and therefore would not
be obligated to furnish uniformed policemen, since the circus would then be
within the ~urisdiction of the County Sheriff. However, the Council agreed that
the circus water trucks might be filled at one of the established water points
