<br />ur <br />257 <br /> <br />.B.&.~Q!..QIIQN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />has carefully studied its personnel problems and is conscious <br /> <br />of the need for good working conditions, adequate pay and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />shorter hours for its employees; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the governing body in making its study found <br /> <br />that conditions differ from city to city and that each muni- <br /> <br />cipality is more familiar with the needs imposed and the funds <br /> <br />available therein; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon each governing body to <br /> <br />provide the best and most economical protection and service <br /> <br />possible, in keeping with the specific requirements and <br /> <br />available funds. <br /> <br />Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS that H.B. 173 be actively supported and <br /> <br />endorsed and that H.B. 60 be opposed and that the Hon. R. A. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Winert and Hon. Max Smith be requested to use their official <br /> <br />efforts on behalf of the City of San Marcos in supporting <br /> <br />the said H. B. 173. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution <br /> <br />be forwarded to the State Senator and State Representative <br /> <br />notifying them of the Council's request. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of February, 1959. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,~~~'?7~'- /~t{-7 >~~?-/V_____- <br />Deputy City Secretary" <br />
