<br />r <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,JjJI <br /> <br />271 <br /> <br />Jig2Q1.!!.llQll <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested by the Chamber <br /> <br />of Commerce and citizens of the City of San Marcos to negotiate with <br /> <br />the Texas Highway Department for improvements to Ranch Road 12, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Department has made preliminary <br /> <br />plans and estimates which have been presented to and approved by the <br /> <br />Highway Commission, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Commission has indicated that the <br /> <br />contemplated improvements will cost approximately $56,000.00, of which <br /> <br />the City's share is $11 ,000.00, and has requested the City Council to <br /> <br />approve the recommended improvements, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated and found that the <br /> <br />construction of the proposed improvements is to be the best interest <br /> <br />of the city; <br /> <br />NOI/ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos that the offer of the Texas Highway Commission <br /> <br />for the construction of improvements to Ranch Road 12 within the city <br /> <br />limits of San Marcos is accepted; <br /> <br />BE II FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby <br /> <br />empowered and authorized to transfer the sum of $11,000.00 to the <br /> <br />Texas Highway Department when requested by them so to do in payment <br /> <br />of the Ctty's proportionate share of the cost of the aforementioned <br /> <br />improvement s. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the lOth day of March, 1959. <br /> <br />\'; --"'-~':~/{/\J"~'?'I"-'~ :~,r"":_ '\ "_'~)~ ~,C (,:"/"~l-"'-\_~/ <br />Calvin M.
