<br />I c)ro G <br /> <br />AN OfIDINA1'JCE REGULATING PARKING OF VEHICLES ON FREDERICKSBURG <br />STREET AND COLORADO STREET; MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PARK ON CER- <br />TAIN PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION; PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY FOR VIOLATION:, AND, FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />V~EREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Governing Body of <br />the City of San Marcos that Fredericksburg Street is not of sufficient width <br />to permit the free passage of two-way traffic and accomodate parking on both <br />sides thereof; and <br /> <br />)~{EP~AS, it has been brought to the attention of the Governing Body <br />that a hazard exists when cars are parked on the North side of a portion <br />of Colorado Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the best interest of the public requires that parking on the <br />above mentioned streets must be controlled and regulated. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful to park any vehicle on <br />Fredericksburg Street between Hopkins Street and Pat Garrison street. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on the North side <br />of Colorado Street between Union Street and a point four hundred feet (400') <br />east of Union Street. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict here- <br />with are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph <br />or any other portion of this ordinance shall be judicially determined to be <br />unconstitutional, ineffective or unlawful, such judicial holding shall not <br />effect the remaining portions hereof. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Any person found guilty of violating this ordinance, or any <br />part thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall <br />be fined in any amount not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.). <br /> <br />SECTION 6.
