I II I I I II L_ I . I ~_1~'J L.L~ AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF NORTH COMANCHE. STREET; REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; AND, FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos that North Comanche Street is not of sufficient width to permit the free passage of two-way traffic and accommodate parking on both sides thereof; and WHERR~S, the best interest of the public requires that parking on the above mentioned street must be controlled and regulated. NOW, THEREF'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF' THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Section 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful to park any vehicle on the East side of North Comanche Street between Hopkins Street and Hutchison Street. Section 2. All ordinances and/or part of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. In the event any word, phrase, clause, sen- tence, paragraph or any other portion of this ordinance shall be judicially determined to be unconstitutional, ineffective or unlawful, such judicial holding shall not effect the remaining portion hereof. Section 4. Any person found guilty of violating this ordinance, or any part thereof, shall be guilty of a misde- meanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any amount not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.). Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its publication in a newspaper published within the City of San Marcos, Texas.
