<br />Minutes <br />Page -2- <br /> <br />April 6, 1960 <br /> <br />~ <br />=:l <br />~ <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />!X7 <br /> <br />Upon motion of Alderman Korff, seconded by Alderman Hillburn, <br />Alderman James Tuttle was elected by acclamation to serve as Mayor Pro- <br />Tern until March 31, 196'1, or until his successor shall have dUly quali- <br />fied. <br /> <br />Alderman Tuttle introduced an ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING CITY OFFICIf\U;1 FIXING <br />THEIR COMPENSATION', DUTIE;:; AND TERM::i OF OFFICE. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />and moved its adoption, which motion was seconded by Alderman Hillburn. <br />The Ordinance was read in full and upon roll call the ayes and nayes <br />were as followSI <br /> <br />AYE:>: <br /> <br />Alderman Beecroft <br />Davis <br />Hillburn <br />Korff <br />Tuttle <br /> <br />NAYES: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Whereupon Mayor Allen declared the Ordinance passed, approved, and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />Officials of the Hays County Hospital requested a special water <br />rate to do summer watering on the ho~pital grounds, The unanimous <br />opinion of the Council was that they not oeviate from their policy against <br />setting special summer rates. <br /> <br />The Housing Authority's request that the City take over rents <br />and maintenance of the three housing projects was discussed. The Council <br />postponed action until TueSday, April 12th that Public Housing Authority <br />in Fort Worth could be contacted for a ruling on the City's position. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Fuller read a form letter prepared by Mr. Ross Terry, delin- <br />quent tax attorney, for mailing to all delinquent personal property <br />accounts except 1959. The letter advises that suits Will be filed on all <br /> <br />accounts not paid at the expiration of the thirty day notice. Alderman <br /> <br />Davis seconded, motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Manager asked for a review of the Council'S previous <br />decision on the Ranch Road 12, Oscar Payne property. The Council dis- <br />cussed and agreed that the Appeal on the Oscar Payne case should be kept <br />on file.
