Alderman Davis seconded, motion carried. <br /> <br />City Manager Fuller reported and obtained approval of the Council on the fol- <br />lowing: <br /> <br />1. <br />April 28-30. <br /> <br />The 1960 Traff~c Courts Conference will be held in Austin on <br />The corporation judge to attend. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2. Mr. Barber <br />pleaded for consideration_on. damages or compensation to Mr. Peterson for the <br />city's tying into the>sewer line which had been installed to serve Texanna <br />Court.s. The Council, after some discussion, waived consideration due to <br />policy of the contract with Mr. Peterson. Mr. Barber, representing Mrs. Mabel <br />Kingls Estate, discussed the matter of damages to the King property by the <br />city\s not having recorded a deed t~ an 8 ft. strip purchased in 1948. Mr. <br />Barber stated that Mrs. King'~ heirs desire to do what is right under the <br />circUmstances and asked for $300.00 to cover damage~; whereby, a -quit-claim <br />deed would be given. Alderman Hillburn moved the matter be referred to the <br />city attorney and further discussion be postponed until the next regular <br />meeting date. Alderman Beecroft seconded, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Fuller reported that the Caravan Trailerites were arriving at the <br />recreation park ahead of schedule. Alderman Hillburn moved the approval of <br />thecearly recess in the park but that in the future trailers be admitted only <br />on days set out in their schedule. Alderman Beecroft seconded, motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />United Gas Corp. presented a schedule of summer rates for council approval. <br />Alderman Hillburn moved the rates be accepted for the six month period as <br />specified. Alderman Davis seconded, motion carried. A copy of the rate <br />schedule follows these minutes and is made a part thereof. <br /> <br />After discussion on the matter of San Marcos Housing Authority, Alder- <br />man Korff moved that the City take over the management and maintenance of the <br />three (3) Housing Projects.
