ED.IOO UNITED GAS CORPORATION I AIR CONOITIONING RATE FOR SMALL COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS RATE SCHEDULE SCAC-3 AVAILABILITY At points on existing facilities of adequate capacity and suitable pressure in the area designated in Company's Rate Book. APPLICABLE To any commercial or industrial customer who uses gas operated air conditioning equipment alone or in addition to other gas consuming appliances or equipment PERIOD Billing months of May through October, inclusive. RATE FOR GAS IN EXCESS OF 10,000 CUBIC FEET AND WITHIN THE APPLICABLE MAXIMUM IN ANY ONE BILLING MONTH: :1 3.5~ per 100 cubic feet. METHOD OF DETERMINING CHARGE The maximum volume of gas to be billed at 3.5<t per 100 cubic feet under this air conditioning rate for small com- mercial customers shall not exceed an amount which shall be determined monthly on the basis of the number of tons (name plate) of installed gas air conditioning capacity in accordance with the follOWing schedule: Billing Montb Cubic Feet Per Ton of Capacity May June July August September October 7,000 8,000 10,000 10,000 8,000 7,000 It is also a condition of this air conditioning rate for small commercial customers that (a) all gas consumption (whether for air conditioning or any other purposes) up to and including 10,000 cubic feet in any billing month covered by this schedule shall he billed at the rate which would otherwise be applicable in the absence of this air conrlitiona ing rate for small commercial customers, that (b) all gas consumption in excess of 10,000 cubic feet in any such month, and up to the sum resulting from the addition of 10,000 cubic feet and the maximum set forth above, shaJl be billed at 3.5~ per 100 cubic feet and that (c) all gas consumption in excess of such sum shall be billed as though it had been in eXCess of 10,000 cubic feet under the rate schedule whicb would otherwise be applicable in the ahseuce of this air conditioning rate for small commercial customers. I PURCHASED GAS COST ADJUSTMENT Whenever revisions of the city gate rate paid by United Gas Corporation are filed with the appropriate jurisdic- tional body, the above rate sb.all be adjusted, either plus at minus, to reflect the amount of the change in the average unit cost of gas supplied under this rate schedule above or below the average unit cost of such gas at tile city gate rate in effect on the 1st day of January, 1959, such adjusted rate to apply to all gas used after the regular meter reading dates falling on or after the effective date of such city gate rate change. MINIMUM MONTHLY BILL AND GROSS AND NET BILLING: As provided for in the rate schedule which wou.ld otherwise be applicable in the absence of the air conditioning rate for small commercial customers. I CONTRACT PERIOD Except in the case of service to governmental agencies whose biJIs are paid entirely out of public funds, gas service shall not be available at prices specIfied in this schedule unless service shall bave been contracted for by means of a written instrument signed by the Customer.
