<br />/91 <br /> <br />THE tiTATE OF TEXA~ <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PREtiENT:; <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAY:; <br /> <br />THAT WHEREAS, Ross Terry, Attorney at Law, whose address is 612 Littlefield <br /> <br />Building, Austin, Texas, is now employed by the City of San Marcos to enforce <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />by suit or otherwise the collection of all delinquent taxes of said City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such contract of employment became effective May 13, 1958 and will <br /> <br />terminate by its terms on May 13, 1960 in the manner provided in Section,? of <br /> <br />said contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAti, the parties to said contract deem it mutually advantageous that <br /> <br />the contract be extended and continued in force for an additional one (1) year <br /> <br />period; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, this agreement WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />That all of the provisions of the original contract dated May 13, 1958 <br /> <br />shall remain in full force and effect for the period beginning May 14, 1960 and <br /> <br />ending May 13, 1961 except the first sentence of Section 7 of the original con- <br /> <br />tract which is hereby amended to read as follows: "7. This Contract shall be <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />in force from the day of execution hereof as the same appears in the last para- <br /> <br />graph to the date of May 13, 1961, both dates inclusive, and at the expiration <br /> <br />of said period this Contract shall terminate and be ended; provided that Second <br /> <br />Party shall be allowed the additional period of six (6) months in which to <br /> <br />prosecute to judgments in the trial court, suits by him filed prior to said date <br /> <br />of termination of th~s,Contract, May l3, 1961, and to handle to conclusion, <br /> <br />within such six-month period immediately following the termination date afore- <br /> <br />said, all suits in which trial court judgments shall have been obtained by him <br /> <br />prior to such termination date and which judgments shall have been appealed by <br /> <br />either party thereto." <br /> <br />WITNES~ THE ~IGNATURE~ of all parties hereto in duplicate originals, this <br /> <br />lOth day of May, 1960, in Hays County, Texas, wherein each and every element <br /> <br />and obligation of this Contract shall be performed. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />/' /) /;!
