<br />g52.Qb.YIIQ,N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has been advised that the <br /> <br />State Highway Department plans the immediate construction of that <br /> <br />portion of Interstate 35 from the North city limits South to Broadway <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Street; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has certain water and sewer <br /> <br />lines within the limits of the proposed construction; which will have <br /> <br />to be relocated, removed or otherwise adjusted to conform to the <br /> <br />proposed construction; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos does not have sufficient <br /> <br />qualified engineering personnel within its own forces to accomplish <br /> <br />the work within the time required; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears to the best public interest to retain the <br />the services of qualified professional engineers to accomplish this work, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING Booy OF THE <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS that the firm of Beretta, Greenslade & Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />of San Antonio, Texas, he retained to perform the necessary engineering <br /> <br />work and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> <br />them. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby empowered <br /> <br />to sign, for the City, in all matters arising between the State Highway <br /> <br />Department and the City of San Marcos in the accomplishment of this <br /> <br />project. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the 14th day of February, 1961. <br /> <br />C\ /J f\ C1lllfff J <br />'j ;I -^XJJJ"( <br />Mayo r "'--.,., <br /> <br />ATTEST : <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />C&~,~ i3 duu~ <br />:pity cretary <br />
