.p ,iS~ .~ =?/~I AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY, 'ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one half (~) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further being vacant and without residents, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" a nd made a part hereof for all per- tinent purposes; and WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, here- in-after described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city in accordance with law~ I SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present San Marcos City Limits, said point being at the intersection of the east right of way line of the proposed location of Interstate Highway 35 with the north right of way line of the Missouri-Kansas and Texas Railroad, said point also being approximately 76.2 feet North 830 04' West of an east corner of the said present San Marcos City Limits in the said north right of way line the Missouri-Kansas and Texas Railroad; I THENCE North 830 04' West, with the present San Marcos City Limits along the north right of way line of the said Missouri-Kansas and Texas Rail- road, crossing the reference line of the proposed location of Interstate Highway 35 at Survey Sta-- tion 849/21.6 thereof, and continuing, same bear- ing, a distance of 850.6 feet to an inside corner of the present San Marcos City Limits at the in- tersection of the west right of way line of the existing location of U. S. Highway 81 with the said north right of way line of the Missouri- Kansas and Texas Railroad: THENCE in a northeasterly direction, with the pre- sent San Marcos City Limits, along the west right of way line of said existing location of U. S. Highway 81, same being the west right of way line of the said proposed location of Interstate High- way 35, the fOllowing courses: (1) North 390 43' :?
