<br />~ <br />\G I <br /> <br />\-*. , <br />:0 <br />C"l <br />~ <br />c::I <br /> <br />The City Mal1ager Items were, brought before the Council. <br />The Ordinance against placing posters on public property was <br />discussed. -Al"derman Stokes asked that the City Attorne~ be <br />consul tad on .the legality of the present Ordinance, and if deemed <br />necessary, to assist in drafting a neW Ordinance making it unlaw- <br />ful to -Iplace posters on public property. <br /> <br />Aldermqn Stokes introduced a Resolution permitting the <br />City of San .Mqrcos to accept f\ll1ds held in trust for Perpetual <br />Cemetery Care in the st"iltf!; Bank & Trust Company. On second of <br />Alderman Ruiz, the Resolution was passed and approved, all <br />membe~s pf .the Council voting Aye. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. " <br />The City Manager presented an expense account for the <br />three Ci tyFiremen who attended the Firemen's School at A & M <br />College. $60 for each Fiteman and $.07 per mile on one ear. <br />Alderman Ruiz moved that the expenses be allowed; Alderman Swift <br />seconded ,the motion and it carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The resignation of E.O. Wiley as Corporation Court Judge <br />was diScussed by the Council. Alderman Swift moved that the pay'{ <br />of the Corporation Court Recorder be raised to $100 per month, <br />ef~eetive June 1, 1962. Alderman Stokes seconded the motion <br />and a\l members voted Aye. "The City Manager wasinstructeq to <br />talk to Mr. Wileytabout accepting the position of ~orporationt <br />Court Recorder at the incteased'salary~ tt <br /> <br />Mayor Allen appointed Mrs.,Ruth Man~ke to serve as <br />Chairman of the United Nations Committee. r <br /> <br />It having been determined that the residence of B.R. Fuller <br />at 1001 West San AntoQio Street was 'not c~nnected t9 the public <br />sewer system, Alderman Stokes made a motion that Mr. FulleJ ~e <br />refu~dedtt62.40. On second of , AIde, man Ruiz, the motion Cgrr~ed <br />unanimously", <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes moved that the matt~r of Camp Gary referred <br />to the Council by the Chamber of Commerce be tabled until the <br />adjoutnedmeeting. On second of Alderman Ruiz, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />, J <br />The City Manager reported on a trip to Fort Worth by <br />Maypr Allen, Alderman Stokes and himself. He explained the details <br />of,a General Neighborhood Renewal Plan which they had discussed <br />with the Fort Worth officlalsofthe Urban Renewal 'Agency.
